"Harry Potter and the Deathy Hallows: Part 2" is the final in the seven-part series. The films closely folow the novels by English author JK Rowling. The first book was published in 1997 and the screen version debuted in 2001.
Already, the film is proving very popular across the country, and no has really seen it yet. Warner Bros. reported Wednesday that sales were breaking previous records.
Advance ticket sales have soared to more than $32 million. That’s a pre-opening record, according to the studio. The movie will debut on more than 11,000 screens at 4,375 theaters. Setting another record, 3,8000 locations will show the film at midnight screenings.
