A flash flood warning has been issued for this afternoon as a stormfront drifted over central Charleston and Berkeley Counties, according to the National Weather Service.
Possible areas impacted by the heavy rains: Charles Towne Landing, Charleston Airport, Charleston Naval Complex, Daniel Island, Don Holt Bridge, Downtown Charleston, Hanahan, Interstate 26 and I-526 interchange, James Island County Park, Johns Island, Magnolia Gardens, Maybank Bridge, Naval Weapons Station Charleston, North Charleston, Shadowmoss and West Ashley.
The flood warning remains in effect until just before 5 p.m. today.
