
Four Mount Pleasant youngsters swept a recent statewide chess tournament held at .
students swept the kindergarten to second grade division, according to a school news release. First place went to Brady Setser. Second place was nabbed by Rowan Johnson and in third place Jacob Lewis and Joshua Lewis tied.
This is the second year that Laurel Hill has had a chess team, and they are coached by Stephen Welt. The December Scholastic Chess Tournament was held Dec. 3.
