Man Killed in Overnight Crash
Update: Motorcycle operator ran into back of boat towed by SUV

Update (2:15 p.m.): Police say the motorcycle rider killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening ran into the back of a boat being hauled by an SUV.
It happened around 9 p.m. when Hugh Wall, 41, of Huger, crashed into the rear of the boat being towed by a Ford Explorer, said Mount Pleasant Police Capt. Stan Gragg.
The crash at Hwy. 41 near Tradewinds Drive closed traffic for four hours. Wall was pronounced dead at the scene, Gragg said.

Wall was not wearing a helmet, but no cause of death has been released, according to Charleston County Deputy Coroner Kimberly Rhoton. Gragg said the Explorer's operator was Jermaine Dementrius Tolbert, 39, of Mount Pleasant, who resides less than two miles from the crash scene.
This fatality follows a string of deadly motorcycle accidents in recent months. A Ladson man died Aug. 3 in a motorcycle-vs-car crash in Berkeley County.
