Ministry to Hold Oyster Roast Benefit

Drawing Near to God holds charity event on Thursday, Nov. 3.

A Thursday oyster roast and fundraiser will benefit the growing ministry of local author, speaker and blogger .

Drawing Near to God, a Mount Pleasant based teaching ministry to women nationwide, will host its third annual fundraiser and first Oyster Roast and auction at the at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3.

Drawing Near to God is the outreach founded by Ellison, who has written several books, tours the nation on speaking engagement and writes a weekly.

The Oyster Roast will feature food, live music and two auctions. The silent and live auctions offer major prizes including a retreat with Ellison in the North Carolina mountains and time in a Pawley’s Island vacation home.

A nationally recognized Bible teacher, speaker and author, Ellison has reached thousands through her speaking, books, CDs and DVDs through the past 20 years. She is the author of 12 Bible study guides as well as the popular 365-day Bible devotional, Draw Near To God (available at Amazon.com and in Charleston-area gift shops). Ellison’s third book is slated to publish in 2012.
