Photos: Final Weeks of Farmers Market

Fresh food, great finds still pack the market through October.

The Mount Pleasant Farmers Market has just four more weeks of regular markets scheduled, but the 3:30 p.m. Tuesday event still draws throngs of shoppers and vendors to the pavillion on the campus of on Coleman Boulevard.

Last week, rows and rows of fresh berries, vine-rippened tomatoes and fresh seafood mingled with aromas of barbecue, fresh pasta and fresh fall flowers.

The markets are held each Tuesday from April to October 18. It starts at 3:30 p.m. with a bell ringing and runs until dusk. There is one holiday market planned for December 10. That special festival is a combination of locally grown fresh produce, baked goods, homemade preserves, hot food and hand crafted gifts.
