Debby Photos: Views of Florida Flooding
As the first band of rain hits the Lowcountry, photos of Tropical Storm Debby's impact in Florida show how much rain the storm dropped there.
ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. — Low lying streets in Gulfport, Fla., near Tampa, are nearly impassable. The downpour of rain combined with higher tides and breaking waves has left Gulfport Beach underwater.
A community dock broke apart and some streets were closed. Despite on Gulfport, a few adventure seekers were lured outdoors during the storm. A couple of kayakers could be seen cruising on Shore Boulevard on Sunday afternoon.
