Riverwatch Cafe and Gift Shop at is losing serious cash, according to reports.
The pier, cafe and gift shop had $582,500 in expenses and $330,170 in revenues, according to the latest available figures, the Post and Courier reported today.
It bled dollars every month but July, when it turned a profit. The numbers reflect operations from July 1, 2010, to June 30, 2011.

The shop sells T-shirts, tourist trinkets, pre-packaged foods and drinks as well as fisherman supplies. The county, which operates the shop for the town, said they hoped to reverse the trend. The gift shop typically closes at sunset.
