Police Search for Robbery Suspects

Two men wanted; three others in custody

Mount Pleasant police have arrested three men over the last two days in connection with two separate armed robberies.

Officers are still searching for two men believed involved in the robbery of the Piggly Wiggly on Riviera Drive.

Today, police charged Kenneth Oradell Murray and Cleveland Clarence Major with the July 22 armed robbery of Pizza Hut on Hwy. 17, according to a media statement released Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday, investigators arrested and charged Dante Justin Smalls with the July 25th Armed Robbery of the Piggly Wiggly grocery store located at 1981 Riviera Drive.

Officers are still searching for alleged accomplices in that Piggly Wiggly robbery. Jarret Eric Graddick, 23, and Preston Swinton, 20, both of Mount Pleasant, are wanted for the robbery.

“Both subjects should be considered Armed and Dangerous and should not be approached,” wrote Capt. Stan Gragg, police spokesman.

Graddick stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. His last known address is 2627 Linnen Lane. Swinton is 6 feet tall and weighs 165 pounds. His last known address is 1576 Hamlin Road.

Anyone with information concerning the suspects’ whereabouts, may call Mount Pleasant Police Department at 884-4176 or 911, or Crimestoppers at 554-1111 or 5541111.com.  A reward is being offered for information leading to their arrest.
