Police: 'Sickening' Act Led to Death
Police search for brother they believe is responsible. The whole thing was recorded on police cruiser video camera.
North Charleston police are searching for a man they accuse of coaxing his brother into eating a fatal amount of cocaine while the two sat handcuffed in the back of a police cruiser, according to WCBD-TV.
Police say 23-year-old Deangelo Mitchell, worried that he would serve a life sentence if arrested for drugs again, convinced his younger brother to eat a lethal amount of cocaine, WCBD reports.
The video shows Wayne Mitchell, 20, consuming cocaine that was reportedly hidden in Deangelo Mitchell's pants. The younger brother died within an hour, police say. Now police are searching for the older brother on involuntary manslaughter charges.
