Road Closing for 8 to 10 Weeks
Mid Town Avenue will close for interchange bridge at Hungryneck Boulevard.

As part of ongoing work on the new interchange bridge at Hungryneck Boulevard, the Town of Mount Pleasant has announced the closure of Mid Town Avenue (Watermark Blvd.) to thru traffic, between Hungryneck Blvd. and Bowman Road.
The closure will begin the week of January 2 and last approximately 8-10 weeks.
Local traffic will have access to Mid Town/Watermark from Bowman Road only.

Drivers traveling to and from Hungryneck Blvd. and Bowman Road via Mid Town/Watermark should follow detour signs.
The goal of the project is to improve the traffic flow in and out of Mount Pleasant. The new interchange bridge at Hungryneck Boulevard will separate thru-traffic from I-526 onto Hungryneck Boulevard and US 17. The project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2013.

Drivers traveling through the project’s construction zone are asked to be aware of equipment and crews working in the area at all times. Alternative routes are recommended if possible. The public is also asked to notice traffic control signs, reductions in speed limit and message board information.
