See Scuba Claus at the Aquarium

Aquarium gets into the holiday spirit with underwater Santa Claus.

Scuba Claus, the South Carolina Aquarium's take on Jolly Ole Saint Nick, will make his appearance Friday and then will be a fixture at the downtown Charleston attraction throughout the holiday season.

Scuba Claus will be swimming with the fish at the Aquarium daily in the Great Ocean Tank, and visitors can hop aboard the Polar Express 4-D Experience for a one-of-a-kind trip to the North Pole, according to an Aquarium news release.

Scuba Claus will join the hundreds of animals in the 385,000 gallon, two-story tall Great Ocean Tank during special dive shows. The man in the big red suit will be on hand to talk about the different animals he's swimming with like sharks, pufferfish and even a 230-pound resident loggerhead sea turtle, Caretta.
