
The Laurel Hill chess team took home second place at state competitions. Brady Setser tied for third and also won first place 1st grader in the state.
Rowan Johnson, Jacob and Joshua Lewis had great success in their first appearance at state. Rowan was one win away from third place.
Jacob had two and a half wins and Joshua had two wins, according to a school news release. There were more than 100 youngsters competing from all over the state.
