Taste of Charleston This Weekend
Boone Hall event starts Friday, expands to two-day affair.

Charleston's top restaurants head to the shaded acres of this Friday and Saturday for the two-day Taste of Charleston event.
The celebration of Lowcountry cuisine, sponsored by Southern Living magazine, features more than 40 of Charleston’s top restaurants showcasing samples of signature dishes, as well as Southern Living editor appearances, editorial-inspired vignettes, demonstrations, giveaways and more, according to an event news release.
“Charleston has always been a quintessential Southern city, and a favorite of our readers,” said Southern Living publisher Rich Smyth. “We’re thrilled to partner with the Charleston Restaurant Association to host this great event that celebrates world-class Southern food, music, art and culture.”

Gates open at 10:30 a.m. each day. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the gate and are good for admission only. Advance tickets are available on the event's page or at any area Children 10 and under are admitted free.
Food items are not included in the ticket price. Dishes range from $2 to $6. Taste of Charleston accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards on site.

Activities include live entertainment from Homemade Wine, Children’s Area, the legendary Waiters’ Race and a Beer Garden featuring 40+ craft and specialty beers. The Southern Living Village will feature editor appearances, editorial-inspired vignettes, demonstrations, giveaways and more.
