Teen Charged in Fatal Crash

The Post and Courier reports that a Mount Pleasant teen has been charged with DUI and other charges in connection with the weekend crash that killed a 72-year-old woman.

The Mount Pleasant teenager accused of killing a Ladson woman when he drove the wrong direction onto Interstate 26 is out of the hospital and in a cell at the Cannon Detention Center.

Samuel McCauley, 19, of Fairway Place Lane, was charged with reckless homicide and felony DUI and taken to Medical University Hospital early Sunday after the accident. Read the whole story.
