Town Offices are Relocating
Several offices relocating to free space in current town complex.

Town offices are finding new homes, so if you need city services, take note of the address change.
“This is a staggered move that began last week and is involving several departments,” said town spokeswoman Martine Miller-Wolfe. “The move will conclude at the end of the month.”
The town’s transportation, public services and community development and tourism offices have already relocated to the former Thomas and Hutton Building, which is located at 935 Houston Northcutt Blvd., which is just at the entrance of the current city offices at 1 Ann Edwards Lane.
Town executive offices and the mayor’s office will move next week. By August, the town should open its business incubator, Biz Inc., in the building as well.
Mount Pleasant purchased the Thomas and Hutton Building in 2010 for $2.7 million and has invested about $4 million into renovations, according to city records. The town hopes the relocation of offices from its current 60,000-square-foot complex will eliminate the need for offices currently located in trailers.
