UPDATE: This week we aimed to make the contest a little tougher, but so far no one has come close to the correct answer, so we're adding a second photo that's a little more revealing, and here's another clue:
The setting for this photo has deep roots in South Carolina, but to out-of-towners, the name might imply it has roots in Appalachia. But this site was settled a full 100 years before the famous American with whom is shares a name. Happy guessing!

We had lots of correct answers to last week's Where in the Patch installment. Congratulations to Marykay Ulmer Martin, who guessed correctly that the was snapped at the Mount Pleasant Farmers Market.Â
This week's photo was also captured in Mount Pleasant, and like so many things around these parts, its setting is historic. Nowadays it's famous for the Rosaceae berry, but the nation might know it better for another famous Berry.
