Woman Jumps from Ravenel Bridge

A woman jumped from the northbound side of the Ravenel Bridge this afternoon, and Charleston Police are investigating.

The woman jumped from Highway 17 into the river at approximately 3:41 p.m., according to spokesman Charles Francis with the Charleston Police Department.

Mount Pleasant closed the pier at Waterfront Park just before 5 p.m. as four boats searched the water.
