- Three Horry County individuals have been charged with trafficking children. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division arrested Kwame Lawan Vereen, 33 years old, Lashon Alvin Ladson, 37 years old, and Brittany Marquita Rutledge Jackson, 24 years old, on Thursday. The individuals have been booked into the county's J. Ruben Long Detention Center. (Myrtle Beach Sun News)
- Myrtle Beach's Ripley's Aquarium is getting into the Halloween spirit. The aquarium is hosting a Halloween Dance Party on Oct. 29 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Participants will be able to explore the facility after hours while enjoying seasonal snacks, giveaways, games, crafts, and a specialty cash bar. - Myrtle Beach is asking residents to be patient during Hurricane Ian recovery. The city has five knuckleboom trucks operating through neighborhoods. The trucks are picking up debris and waste. The city has set a goal of Monday, Oct. 24, to have all residential waste services back to "normal." (wpde.com)
