  1. The owner of a former Myrtle Beach gentlemen's club was arrested on Thursday for tax fraud. David Joseph Bean, 68 years old, has been charged with four counts of tax evasion. According to the South Carolina Department of Revenue, Bean failed to report at least $882,783 in admission revenue from 2016 to 2019 at Derriere Gentlemen's Club of Myrtle Beach. (WMBF)
  2. The South Carolina Department of Transportation is collecting public input on Myrtle Beach road improvements. The department is considering safety improvements for Mr. Joe White Ave. and 21st Ave. North. The key elements include high-visibility crosswalks, ADA ramps, countdown signal heads, and retroreflective backplates. The department held a public information meeting at Myrtle Beach Train Depot on Thursday. (WBTW)
  3. North Myrtle Beach residents and city officials met on Wednesday to discuss the ten-year Destination Master Plan. The meeting was meant as a round table discussion to improve the plan. The meeting got heated when the pros and cons of tourism were discussed. The city held an online survey about the plan that garnered 3,600 responses. (WPDE)
