Celtic Christmas is this weekend at Hagood Mill Heritage Pavilion (yourpickenscounty.com) — Pickens residents can enjoy the Ed Harrison Memorial Celtic Christmas at Hagood Mill’s Heritage Pavilion this Saturday, Dec. 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival features Celtic and Appalachian music, folklife demonstrations, kids’ performers, and a working gristmill turning out holiday grits. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the gate, with proceeds supporting Hagood Mill programs.

Pickens Co. man accused of online mass shooting threats (wspa.com) — A Pickens County man has been arrested after federal and local authorities say he posted anti-Semitic messages and threatened a mass shooting online, prompting a rapid investigation that began with a tip on Monday.
