Celtic Christmas is this weekend at Hagood Mill Heritage Pavilion (yourpickenscounty.com) — Pickens residents can enjoy the Ed Harrison Memorial Celtic Christmas at Hagood Mill’s Heritage Pavilion this Saturday, Dec. 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival features Celtic and Appalachian music, folklife demonstrations, kids’ performers, and a working gristmill turning out holiday grits. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the gate, with proceeds supporting Hagood Mill programs.
   

2. Pickens Co. man accused of online mass shooting threats (wspa.com) — A Pickens County man has been arrested after federal and local authorities say he posted anti-Semitic messages and threatened a mass shooting online, prompting a rapid investigation that began with a tip on Monday. He appeared in federal court in Greenville on Wednesday and faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted, with a detention hearing set for Friday.
   

3. Upstate shop supporting domestic violence victims revamps for holiday season (wspa.com) — A Taylors-based Safe Harbor Resale Shop is raising money that directly supports domestic violence shelters and services in Greenville, Pickens, Anderson and Oconee counties. With a revamped holiday layout and donated goods from clothing to housewares, the shop funds counseling, housing help and shopping stipends for survivors. Residents can shop or donate Monday through Saturday during posted hours.
   

4. Calendar featuring law enforcement, veterans set to give back to area veterans (wyff4.com) — Local law enforcement officers from Pickens and surrounding areas are featured in a new two-year calendar that raises money for Vets Helping Vets of Anderson. Organized through Leadership Anderson’s Class 40, the project will use calendar sales to buy needed items for area veterans just in time for the end-of-season holidays.
   

5. Courier Obituaries 12-17-25 (yourpickenscounty.com) — Pickens families are mourning several beloved neighbors and community leaders, with detailed tributes to longtime residents whose lives touched churches, local businesses, civic groups, and even conservation efforts around Table Rock. The obituaries share service details already held, surviving relatives across Pickens County and nearby towns, and suggestions for memorial donations to local churches, charities, and hospitals.
