6-4 Summerville High baseball team says ineligible player has worn uniform last four games, played as pinch hitter in last three games.

Summerville High may be the first to test the more lenient rules enacted by S.C. High School League for teams that self-report ineligible players.
ABC News 4 reported the 6-4 Green Wave baseball team has self reported an ineligible player that transferred from a private school, playing a pre-scrimmage baseball game, and suited up for four games with the Summerville team before the error was caught.
The unnamed player played as a pinch hitter in three games.Â

The high school league changed its rules recently to be more lenient toward self-reporting teams, in the wake of a contentious ruling in late 2012 that disqualified undefeated Goose Creek Gators football team prior to playoffs.Â
