Ladson Piggly Wiggly Sold to Bi-Lo

The Ladson Piggly Wiggly on Highway 78 has been sold and will become a Bi-Lo grocery store, according to a statement by Piggly Wiggly Carolina Company Inc.

The store is one of 28 locations that has been either sold to Bi-Lo or Harris Teeter. Details about the transactions will not be made public, according to Piggly Wiggly Carolina. 

Stores are expected to be rapidly converted to their new banners. All Piggly Wiggly employees at affected stores will have job opportunities with Harris Teeter and Bi-Lo.

The Ladson store sits near the intersection of College Park Road and Highway 78.
