Residents and officers unite in peace walk after fatal shooting of 4-year-old boy (abcnews4.com) — A Summerville mother whose son survived a drive-by shooting joined North Charleston residents and police in a peace walk after a 4-year-old boy was killed on Van Buren Avenue. The walk, part of the RECAP initiative, aimed to support grieving neighbors, strengthen trust between officers and residents, and encourage community involvement as police continue investigating the child’s death.
