Robynwyn Community Gathers to Stop Violence
Stop the Violence Rally slated for 7 p.m. Saturday at Wassamassaw Park.

The North Summerville community will gather this Saturday night for a rally against violence.
Stop the Violence Rally is by the Robynwyn Palmetto Civic Association. The event is 7 p.m. Saturday at Wassamassaw Community Park.
Musical performers include the Namesake Choir.

Sponsors of the event are the Summerville Fire Department, the Lowcountry Black Historical Society and Rock of Faith Baptist Church, as well as relatives of the late John Elliot Hancock.
Last October, Hancock was slain in front of his North Summerville home, which inspired the first “Stop the Violence” vigil later that month.
