A three-vehicle wreck on 17A killed two people and sent another to the hospital Wednesday night, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
A 1992 Honda Accord was traveling southbound when it crossed the centerline and caused a head-on collision with a 2013 Kia and 1999 Toyota. The driver and passenger of the Honda, both of whom were not wearing seatbelts, were killed in the wreck.

Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet has not released the names of the deceased as of 10 a.m. Thursday.
The driver of the Kia, William Singleton, was transported to MUSC. The driver of the Toyota, Jerry Ward, was not injured in the wreck.
The cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
