• Lexington County Coroner releases name of victim of fatal head-on crash (westmetronews.com) — Lexington County officials have identified 62-year-old Michael Leon Rather of Lexington as the victim of a fatal head-on collision Saturday on Muddy Springs Road. He was wearing a seatbelt and died after being taken to a hospital, while the other driver was also hospitalized. As West Columbia and nearby communities follow this case, Highway Patrol and the Coroner’s Office continue investigating what caused the crash.
