Family Arrested In South Nashville Drug Ring Bust: Police
Metro Police arrested five after a six-week investigation into an alleged drug distribution ring.

NASHVILLE, TN β After a six-week investigation, Metro Police arrested five people accused of running a cocaine and pot distribution ring out of their homes in South Nashville. Four of the five were members of the same family.
Police arrested Edwin Roberto Orozco, 29, and Jorge Perez-Ramos, 20, in front of Perez-Ramosβ Cedar Drive home Thursday as the pair allegedly attempted to sell a kilogram of cocaine. Officers also arrested Orozcoβs sister, Linda Marquita Orozco, 22, at a market nearby, where investigators say she was conducting counter-surveillance on the anticipated coke deal.

Police then executed a search warrant at the Orozco family home on nearby Cedarcreek Trail and seized four pounds of "high grade marijuana," four ounces of cocaine, more than $4,000 in cash and a handgun. Edwin Orozco's sister, King Orozco, 18, and his mother, 49-year-old Hilaria Rivero-Frofoso were arrested, as well.
All five face felony drug counts and are being held on bonds ranging from $25,000 to $505,000.
