• Woman almost kidnapped at apartment complex in South Nashville, affidavit says (wsmv.com) — A woman living off Murfreesboro Pike in South Nashville fought off an attempted kidnapping in her apartment parking lot on Christmas Eve, drawing help from a witness. Police quickly detained a suspect nearby, who was allegedly intoxicated, and charged him with attempted aggravated kidnapping and public intoxication. Two men now face multiple attempted murder charges after allegedly firing toward several people in the parking lot, telling investigators they acted in self-defense. • Tennessee ICE arrests spiked in 2025 (wkrn.com) — Federal immigration agents carried out a major raid in South Nashville this year, arresting nearly 200 people in a single operation supported by Tennessee Highway Patrol.
