- Hamilton County's latest arrest report was recently released. Among the list of charges are assault on a first responder, aggravated assault, public intoxication, driving under the influence, child endangerment, fraudulent use of a credit or debit card over $1,000, possession of a hang gun while under the influence, and more. - Chattanooga-based text messaging service, Text Request, has more than doubled its customer base compared to this time last year. The company celebrated with six promotions to its management and departments leadership teams. Text Request CEO Brian Elrod said, "I would also like to publicly thank them for their commitment to Text Request and the customers we serve. As their efforts and spirit have propelled us forward to this point, they will continue to strengthen us all in these new positions." (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
- Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly has created 11 senior leadership positions since taking office in April of 2021. Administration-wide, Mayor Kelly has created 72 positions since the former mayor's term ended. The city still has 362 vacancies – most of which are in the public works departments or outdoors. The mayor said, "My job writ large, as (former U.S. Senator and Chattanooga Mayor Bob Corker) has always said, is to be the orchestra conductor for all these elements outside of city government." - McKamey Animal Center in Chattanooga is searching for a runaway dog from the facility. Sweet Pea, a large brown dog, was last seen near the area of Norcross Road by Middle Cross Baptist Church. If you spot Sweet Pea, call the center! (WDEF News 12)
