Eric Holl Leaving Mayor's Office To Take Advocacy Post (chattanoogan.com) — Chattanooga residents will soon see a key change at City Hall as Mayor Tim Kelly’s communications director, Eric Holl, departs for an advocacy job in Raleigh, N.C. After two years in the mayor’s office, Holl praised recent progress and predicted a “golden era” ahead as major investments, infrastructure upgrades, and policy changes continue shaping Chattanooga’s future.
   

2. Wilson 'King' Bledsoe, Jr. (chattanoogan.com) — Chattanooga is mourning Wilson “King” Bledsoe Jr., a 75-year-old lifelong resident, Vietnam veteran, and retired Hamilton County corrections officer who passed away December 27. Remembered for his strength, integrity, and quiet devotion to family, he leaves behind his wife Serena, daughter Nataki, and a large extended family rooted in the Chattanooga area.
   

3. Chattanooga Wakes Up With Jeremy Loper (ramp247.com) — Chattanooga classic rock listeners will soon get a new live-and-local morning show on KZ106 as veteran host Jeremy Loper takes over on January 12. After nearly 30 years of syndicated mornings, the station is returning to a hometown voice, with local leaders saying they’re eager for residents to get to know Loper on-air.
   

4. 2 Men charged after police say they found multiple guns, drugs in a Chattanooga apartment (newschannel9.com) — Chattanooga police responding to reports of gunfire at a Gillespie Road apartment say they found two pistols hidden in a washing machine, marijuana, and ammunition before arresting two men. Affidavits describe shell casings on the porch, a tense encounter with officers, and multiple firearm and drug-related charges now filed against the suspects.
   

5. UTC wrestles to top-10 finish at Southern Scuffle with four medalists (timesfreepress.com) — UTC’s wrestling team delivered a strong showing at the Southern Scuffle in McKenzie Arena, finishing ninth with four Mocs earning medals for Chattanooga. Redshirt junior Kamdyn Munro highlighted the effort with his best Scuffle placement yet, as the team eyes a Southern Conference title push in the coming league duals.
