• Diocesan youth take part in NCYC (etcatholic.org) — Teens from St. Alphonsus Parish in Crossville joined more than 16,000 Catholic youth at the National Catholic Youth Conference, returning home energized to deepen their faith and parish involvement. Alongside peers from across East Tennessee, they experienced large stadium worship, breakout sessions, and quiet moments of prayer that organizers hope will fuel ongoing youth ministry back in their local communities. 
• Pro Wrestler Retiring After Two Decade Career While Battling Cancer – Farewell Show will be Held In Winfield (scnoneida.net) — A longtime pro wrestler who once lived in Crossville is wrapping up a 20-year career while continuing to battle a rare genetic cancer first diagnosed while he was here. His “Doomsday” character will retire at a December 27 show in Winfield, Tennessee, where he’ll wrestle his daughter in a special farewell match as he prepares for more cancer surgeries.
