1. Dr. Sherrie Booker earns doctorate, strengthens leadership for Dickson County Health Dept. (mainstreetmediatn.com) — Dickson County residents are served by a health director who just earned a doctorate in public health education, strengthening leadership at the Dickson County Health Department. Dr. Sherrie Booker, who also oversees Humphreys County, says the degree deepens her commitment to expanding programs, partnerships, and healthier futures for local communities.
   

2. Dickson teen charged with murder after ex-girlfriend fatally shot, left by intersection (fox17.com) — A Dickson teenager has been charged with first-degree murder after his 17-year-old former girlfriend was fatally shot and found near Highway 70 East and Henslee Drive. Police say the pair met at the Dickson Kroger parking lot before the shooting, and the suspect was later arrested in White Bluff. He’s being held in Dickson County Jail on a $3 million bond.
   

3. Authorities step in before Dickson County couple scammed out of $250K (wkrn.com) — Dickson County deputies stopped an elaborate scam just before an elderly couple sent another $250,000 of their savings, though they had already lost about $300,000. Investigators used fake gold bars to catch the alleged courier and are warning residents that real government agencies will never demand cash or gold to fix Social Security problems.
   

4. Dickson installs AEDs in all city buildings after city attorney's near-death experience (newschannel5.com) — Dickson has now installed automated external defibrillators in every city building, after longtime city attorney Jerry Smith survived sudden cardiac arrest thanks to an AED in Nashville. The city partnered with TriStar Horizon Medical Center to share costs and is also training employees so they’re ready to use the devices in an emergency.
   

5. Dickson County sweeps McEwen behind Snow and Pevahouse's career highs (mainstreetmediatn.com) — Dickson County basketball fans saw big nights as Brynee Snow and Evan Pevahouse posted career-high scoring performances in wins over McEwen. The Lady Cougars edged out a 63-60 victory, while the Cougars boys pulled away 64-51. Next up is a home showdown with crosstown rival Creek Wood on Thursday.
