• Crews extinguish fire at Franklin manufacturing facility (wkrn.com) — Fire crews quickly contained a machinery fire Sunday at the Superior Essex magnet wire plant on Southeast Parkway in Franklin, preventing injuries and limiting damage to equipment and a vent tower. Thanks to the building’s sprinklers and a large Franklin Fire Department response, power was restored to part of the facility and some employees were able to return to work the same day.
   

• Tax Fraud Blotter: Gimme gimme gimme (accountingtoday.com) — A Franklin tax preparer has been sentenced to prison after admitting to stealing millions from local clients and misdirecting inflated tax refunds into accounts he controlled. Prosecutors say the scheme, run through his Franklin-based business, lasted several years and involved dozens of victims. Residents who used outside tax services may want to double-check past statements and account activity.
   

• The Honors Course Hosting U.S. Women's Amateur Headlines 2026 Golf Calendar (chattanoogan.com) — Franklin golf fans can look forward to major junior and women’s championships at Westhaven Golf Club and Temple Hills Country Club in June 2026.
