Franklin Police arrest dozens during annual holiday operation (tennessean.com subscription) — Franklin Police say their “Not in our mall” holiday operation led to dozens of arrests, six seized firearms, and more than $16,000 in recovered merchandise around Williamson County’s busiest shopping centers. The enhanced patrols, which ran from mid-November through Christmas Eve, focused on deterring retail theft and finding wanted individuals to keep Franklin shopping areas safer. 
2. The Honors Course Hosting U.S. Women's Amateur Headlines 2026 Golf Calendar (chattanoogan.com) — Franklin golfers and fans can look forward to major Tennessee Golf Association events coming to Westhaven Golf Club and Temple Hills Country Club in June 2026. Boys’ and Girls’ Junior Amateurs will be played in Franklin June 9–11, followed by the Women’s Match Play June 29–July 1. The wider 2026 schedule also highlights top state and national championships across Tennessee and the U.S.
3. Over 400 Sober Drivers have been Arrested in Tennessee (wivk.com) — New state data show 419 Tennessee drivers tested with no detectable substances were still arrested for DUI in 2024, including three cases by Franklin Police and one by the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office. The Tennessee Highway Patrol accounted for nearly half of such arrests, raising questions about testing limits and how sober drivers can still face DUI charges.
4. OBITUARY: Richard Earl Marable Jr. (williamsonsource.com) — Franklin residents are mourning the passing of Richard Earl Marable Jr., a Franklin-born Air Force veteran, BellSouth lineman, and devoted family man known for his kindness and handyman skills. He and his wife Carol built their life here, serving neighbors, visiting local nursing home residents, and later working with Williamson Health offices. His family suggests donations to Alive Hospice or the Williamson County Animal Shelter.
