Due to the recent increase in COVID cases, we’ll meet outside on the Library’s front steps every week. Please bring a blanket to sit on. And keep an eye on the weather; we won’t meet if there’s rain in the forecast.

When you register, you’ll sign up for either Wednesday or Thursday every week, and your registration will cover all four weeks of the program. Space is limited, so register soon by calling (423) 434-4458!

Mother Goose consists of learning rhymes and songs, reading age-appropriate books, and spending quality time with your children.

Youth Services Manager Betty Cobb says, “Through research we know that children learn to read best when the five practices of playing, talking, singing, writing, and reading are nurtured. There are ways parents can begin helping their children learn even as babies. The Mother Goose program is a really great opportunity for parents to see these simple practices modeled so they can do them at home.”

Mother Goose starts on Wednesday, September 1 and spots fill up fast, so register soon by calling (423) 434-4458!
