'90 Day Fiancé' Star Geoffrey Paschel Sentenced To 18 Years: DA
Paschel was convicted of aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault in October, according to the Knox County District Attorney's Office.
KNOXVILLE, TN — Former '90 Day Fiancé' Star Geoffrey Paschel was sentenced to 18 years in prison after being convicted in October of kidnapping and assaulting his ex-fiancée, according to the Knox County District Attorney's Office.
Judge Kyle Hixson sentenced Paschel, 44, to 18 years without the possibility of parole, Knox County District Attorney Charme Allen released in a statement Thursday. Paschel was convicted of aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault and interference with an emergency call at the conclusion of a two-day trial in October.
In the trial, prosecutors argued Paschel grabbed his then-fiancée by the neck and slammed her head against a wall multiple times during a domestic violence incident in June 2019 in west Knoxville. The woman was diagnosed with a concussion, and officers found a large, raised bruise on her forehead as well as bruises and cuts on her back, arms and inside of her lips, according to the DA's statement.long with bruises and abrasions on her back, arms, and the inside of her lip. At trial, Paschel testified the injuries were self-inflicted.

Paschel was on season 4 of TLC's '90 Day Fiancé: Before The 90 Days' airing from February to June 2020. When the domestic violence accusation and former legal troubles surfaced, fans called on the network to remove him from the show, according to a report from People magazine.
Prior drug convictions in Blount County as well as two federal drug trafficking convictions in Texas influenced Paschel's sentencing, according to Allen's statement. Allen praised the sentence, saying that Paschel won't be able to hurt other victims "for a long time."
