East TN Nurse Honor Guard gives tribute to fallen, honorable colleagues dedicated to the profession (wbir.com) — Volunteer nurses in Knoxville are honoring their colleagues through the East Tennessee Nurse Honor Guard, which offers free memorial and living tribute ceremonies for nurses and their families. Meeting monthly at LMU’s Cedar Bluff campus, members don WWII-style uniforms and present symbolic items like a lamp of knowledge and white rose, while inviting local nurses and students to join their supportive community.
