1 Killed In Plane Crash On Arkansas-Tennessee State Line
West Memphis officials confirmed a person died when a small plane crashed near the state line. It is unclear if there were others on board.

CRITTENDEN COUNTY, AR — The pilot of a small plane died in a crash near the Arkansas-Tennessee state line Tuesday morning, officials have confirmed to Patch.
The plane, a single-engine Cessna 172, crashed around 8:45 a.m., a Federal Aviation Administration spokesperson said. Only the pilot was on board.
The crash occurred in Crittenden County, Arkansas, east of Dacus Lake Road, according to a City of West Memphis spokesperson.

The victim was not local, the city spokesperson said. No other information about the victim was made available.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash, according to the FAA spokesperson.
