Daily Jigsaw: St. Patrick's pipes (dailymemphian.com) — A downtown Memphis landmark, St. Patrick Catholic Church near FedExForum, is approaching 120 years in its current building and 160 years as a parish, making it one of the city’s oldest Catholic congregations. The story notes the church’s survival during arena construction, its roots in the Diocese of Memphis, and a recently restored 120-year-old pipe organ featured in an online jigsaw puzzle.
   

2. Memphis Children's Clinic to join Le Bonheur Pediatrics in 2026 (wreg.com) — Families across Memphis and the Mid-South will see Memphis Children’s Clinic join the Le Bonheur Pediatrics primary care network in January 2026, pending final approvals. The long-standing clinic’s six locations, including Bartlett, Germantown, Whitehaven, and Hickory Hill, will keep their current providers while gaining closer ties to Le Bonheur’s specialized pediatric services.
   

3. Suspect on the run after robbing gas station employee at gunpoint in southeast Memphis, police say (fox13memphis.com) — Memphis police are searching for a man who robbed a Circle K cashier at gunpoint Thursday night on Shelby Drive in southeast Memphis. The suspect, described as a thin man in black clothing and purple gloves, fled on foot toward Tchulahoma, and investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
   

4. 10 PM National Civil Rights Museum honors educational trailblazer (wreg.com) — A pioneering Memphis educator and civil rights advocate, Velma Lois Jones, is being honored by the National Civil Rights Museum for decades of leadership in local classrooms, unions, and the NAACP. From Manassas High to the Memphis teachers union and state education association, she pushed for fair pay, better conditions, and equality while organizing families to support the movement.
   

5. Mother of NLE Choppa lends helping hand to fire victims (fox13memphis.com) — A Memphis family who lost everything in a Clarke Road house fire just days before Christmas is getting a major lifeline from the mother of local rapper NLE Choppa. After seeing their story on Good Morning Memphis, she offered them one of her Memphis rental homes rent-free for several months, fully stocked with toys and essentials, to help them get back on their feet.
