Belmont University Kicks Off the Year with a Welcome Back BBQ

Belmont University Dining by Sodexo hosted a Welcome Back BBQ at the Curb Event Center, marking a warm and hearty start to the academic year

On August 17, Belmont University Dining by Sodexo hosted a spectacular Welcome Back BBQ at the Curb Event Center, marking a warm and hearty start to the academic year for incoming freshmen and transfer students. The event, part of the university's Welcome Week, saw over 5,000 students and their families gather to enjoy a delicious meal and connect with the Belmont community.

The BBQ menu was a crowd-pleaser, featuring classic favorites like BBQ pulled pork, coleslaw, baked beans, cookies, and chips. Understanding the diverse dietary needs of the Belmont community, Sodexo provided vegan and gluten-free options, including BBQ jackfruit, vegetarian baked beans, and gluten-free burger buns, ensuring that everyone could partake in the celebration.

The success of the event was a true team effort, with managers, the catering team, chefs, and staff all coming together to make the BBQ a memorable experience for the new students and their families.
