Break-Ins Damage Downtown Nashville Hotel, Restaurant

NASHVILLE, TN -- A man boldly broke-in to a downtown hotel and nearby restaurant early Thursday, stealing items from both before being arrested, according to police.

The man - who was not immediately identified - shattered the front glass at the lobby of the Hyatt Place on Third Avenue and, even though the receptionist was there, walked in, stole items and left.

A few minutes later, the man rounded the corner to Demonbreun and similarly broke the front glass at Etch Restaurant and stole items from there as well, police said.

He was arrested a short time later.
