Cocaine, Pot Discovery Leads To Nashville Airport Arrest

A 21-year-old woman said she was paid $1,000 to bring marijuana and cocaine into Nashville on a Phoenix flight, according to police.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 21-year-old woman is jailed on drug charges after bundles of cocaine and marijuana were discovered in her luggage at Nashville International Airport, according to police.

Reem Ibrahim's luggage was flagged as suspicious by the TSA even before she boarded a flight from Phoenix and she was confronted by DEA agents at the baggage claim after her arrival at BNA. She allegedly gave the agents permission to search her bags and that search yielded 50 pounds of marijuana and five pounds of cocaine, according to an affidavit.

Ibrahim said she was paid $1,000 to bring the luggage to Nashville but maintained she had no idea she was carrying narcotics.
