Early Voting Starts Friday For Nashville Mayoral Election

Just days after the transit referendum and primaries, Nashvillians can head back to the polls Friday as early voting begins for mayor.

NASHVILLE, TN -- It's a banner month for Nashvillians who love casting ballots.

Just days after more than 120,000 people cast ballots in the ultimately unsuccessful transit plan referendum, early voting begins Friday, May 4, in the special mayoral election. Election Day is Thursday, May 24. Voters in District 1 will also, in what has seemingly become an annual tradition in the northwest portion of the county, fill a councilmanic vacancy.
