Everything To Know About The Titans Divisional Playoff Game
The Tennessee Titans are in the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2008, squaring off against the New England Patriots.

FOXBOROUGH, MA -- After the team's first playoff win since the 2003 season, the Tennessee Titans continue their championship quest Saturday night with a trip to New England. The game will kickoff at 7:15 p.m. on CBS.
The Titans are a 14-point underdog to the homestanding Patriots, the AFC East champion and No. 1 seed in the AFC. Last week's thrilling comeback against the Chiefs in Kansas City was the first time the Titans had won a playoff game since defeating the Baltimore Ravens Jan. 3, 2004. After that win, coincidentally, the Titans travelled to Foxborough to take on the Pats and lost 17-14.
The Titans did appear in the divisional round of the playoffs following the 2008 season, having received a bye, but lost 13-10 to the Ravens.

A win against the Pats would put the Titans in the AFC Championship for the first time since the 1999 playoffs, when they defeated Jacksonville to qualify for the Super Bowl. The winner of the Tennessee-New England game will face the winner of the Pittsburgh-Jacksonville game with a Super Bowl spot on the line.
The Titans are carrying a six-game losing streak against the Patriots into the game. The last win for Tennessee against New England came in 2002, a 24-7 home victory on Monday Night Football for the Titans. The franchise has not won in New England since 1993, a 28-14 win for the then-Houston Oilers.

The two franchises have met in the postseason only twice. In addition to the aforementioned game in 2004, the Oilers defeated 31-14 in the 1978 divisional round. The oldest member of the Titans, back-up quarterback Matt Cassel, was born more than three years after that game.
