NASHVILLE, TN -- The 12-story Draper Tower on Lifeway Plaza came down Saturday morning in an implosion to make way for the massive Nashville Yards project,
Roughly 600 pounds of dynamite and shape charges brought the building down, overseen by the same engineer who recently imploded the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
The engineer, Todd Pettigrew, told The Tennessean everything went “perfectly.” Hundreds of people lined downtown streets to watch.
