Metro Police K-9 Dies 1 Month After Retiring
Retired MNPD K-9 Caine died from a heart condition Tuesday, the department reported.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Caine, a Metro Nashville Police Department K-9 officer, died Tuesday, one month after retiring.
MNPD said Caine, who left the force last month, died from a heart condition. He served as Officer Tom Spence's partner for eight years.
MNPD said Caine helped seize 2,300 pounds of marijuana, 47 pounds of cocaine, 20 pounds of meth, one pound of heroin and $1.4 million in cash during his career.
