Murder, Domestic Violence Suspect Arrested After Standoff

Metro SWAT officers arrested a man free on bond on a first-degree murder charge after an hours-long standoff Friday.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A man accused of first-degree murder and out on bond was arrested after an hours-long standoff at a Nashville apartment complex Friday.

Metro Police said Brain Williams had assaulted his girlfriend at the Cheatham Place Apartments on Rosa Parks Boulevard Friday and then held police in a standoff that lasted more than three hours before his arrest on felony assault.

Williams was free on bond after being charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Henry Arthur Wilson III, who was shot in the parking lot of a Hillside Avenue apartment complex in September.
