Middle Tennessee will finally thaw this weekend, as temperatures finally pass the freezing point.

NASHVILLE, TN β€” The mercury will finally get above the freezing point Sunday, according to the National Weather Service forecast for Nashville. Rain rolls in Sunday and the winds turn around, bringing temperatures into the mid-40s, which should persist through at least the first part of next week.

Friday: A slight chance of flurries before 7 a.m., otherwise partly sunny with a high of 26. A slight chance of flurries after sundown, otherwise partly cloudy, low of 12.

Saturday: Sunny, high of 30. Partly cloudy in the evening, low of 20.

Sunday: Cloudy, with a 30 percent chance of showers after 1 p.m. and warmer, high of 43. Winds of 5 to 15 mph could gust to 25 mph. An 80 percent chance of showers after dark, low of 35. Winds of 15 mph could gust to 25 mph.
