Nashville Man Accused Of Raping Child With Mental Illness

The Davidson County grand jury indicted a 49-year-old sex crime counts connected to an alleged assault on a child.

NASHVILLE, TN -- A 49-year-old Nashville man faces six sex crime charges, accused of raping a child with mental illness.

The Davidson County grand jury indicted Morgan Eugene Evans on two counts of rape of a mentally defective, mentally incapacitated or physically helpless person; two counts of aggravated sexual battery of a person under 13; and two counts of sexual battery by an authority figure. His bail is set at $900,000.

Few details were available in the initial charging document, except that the alleged incidents occurred between July 2013 and May 2016.
